  1. I agree. I recently changed my eating habits to a keto-genetic lifestyle. Obesity in this country began when we were told that fat is what was making us fat. In reality, it is the sugar that is all of the processed products sold that is the contributing factor. That includes High fructose corn syrup, corn syrup and all of the other sugars given names to disguise them. And also the high carbohydrate intake, which converts to sugar in our bodies and the access is stored as fat.
I am looking forward to your insight.

  2. Kathleen,

Kudos to you for not only educating yourself, but most importantly, implementing healthy improvements. Many do not understand that excess daily carbohydrates (typically from sugar) not used as energy are stored as fat. People are unaware of how many carbohydrates they consume every day most likely because they don’t understand what they are really eating. I coach my clients to focus on carbohydrates from predominantly 1 source: vegetables. I recommend fruit in moderation, eaten away from your main meals, & only if you are at a healthy weight.

Would love to hear more about your progress on your new eating journey!

    Christina
